Bolor Sambuu – President
Location - Ottawa, ON, Canada

Bolor is a self-starter, young social entrepreneur and business developer who enjoys working with diverse groups and flourishes in an inclusive decision-making environment.  As Executive Director at CMCC (2014 - 2020), Bolor also founded Women in Mining Mongolia, an organization which promotes diversity and inclusion practices within the mining sector in Mongolia.  

Prior to that she worked at the Mongolian state-owned company Erdenes Tavan Tolgoi JSC as an IPO Specialist within the Equity/Investment Department.  In Canada, Bolor consulted a TSXV-listed Canadian company during negotiations and the purchase of shares of a Mongolian coking coal mine listed on the Mongolian stock exchange.  Her finance and mining industry career started with a consulting job as a financial statement analyst for the Canadian Securities Exchange (previously known as CNSX).  Bolor also worked in Chicago as an International Student Advisor for a leading English language school (Solex College) as well as a Tax Associate at H&R Block.  

Bolor graduated with an MBA in Entrepreneurship from University of Victoria, BC, Canada and an MA & BA in International Economical & Political Relations, with a minor in Economic Diplomacy from Warsaw School of Economics, Warsaw, Poland.  She is a native Mongolian and speaks fluent English, Polish, & Russian.  She is a true believer of the ethical and moral code of doing business and of the new circular & sustainable economy which stands for People, Planet & Profit.  She loves organic & sustainable products. 

AMAR ADIYA - COMMUNICATIONS, POLICY AND MARKETING (ACTING EXECUTIVE DIRECTOR)​

Amar Adiya is a communications, marketing and public policy advisor with international experience in Mongolia, New York, Singapore and Toronto working with the key decision makers and policy-makers, influencers and opinion leaders, senior executives and clients in Asia and North America.
 
For more than 10 years, he has been helping clients and businesses to produce compelling content, engage with industry influencers and build a social following of key decision makers.
 
Amar is a political commentator on Mongolia and writes and edits "Mongolia Weekly". He studied public policy and diplomacy at the Australian National University and international politics at the National University of Mongolia. Follow @MongoliaWeekly on Twitter.

​ENKHBAATAR OCHIRBAL - VANCOUVER REPRESENTATIVE

​Mr. Enkhbaatar Ochirbal is currently working as an independent consultant based in Vancouver, BC. Before moving to Canada he served as Vice President/Country Manager for Prophecy Resources Corp, managing its projects from the grassroots exploration stage to open-pit coal mine. He also worked as Senior Manager at MineInfo LLC, the biggest mining consulting service company in Mongolia. 
 
​Prior to joining the mining industry, he served as Department Head at Mongolian Stock Exchange and Securities Commission, President of MS Invest - the first Investment fund in Mongolia and CEO of Capitron Bank. He holds an Economics degree from Krivol Rog Economic Institute, Ukraine and an MBA from Hull University, UK.

​DARIMA ABIDUEVA - SOCIAL MEDIA & EVENTS
Darima manages social media and events. She has extensive experience in client services and customer relationship in New York, Canberra, Australia, and Russia.​

She brings strong customer-focus and creative thinking to tackle unique challenges and provides effective solutions to the Chamber.

John Vincic - Investor Relations

John Vincic has more than 20 years of experience as a professional communicator specializing in investor relations and financial communications. He has led the development and implementation of strategic initiatives for companies in a broad-cross section of industries both as an external consultant and in an internal capacity. John founded Vincic Advisors in 2014 with the goal of providing world-class counsel and solutions to clients.

John and his team work with clients to provide strategic counsel related to investor relations, corporate communications and capital markets outreach services. Drawing on their collective experience and global network of contacts, they provide clients with goal-oriented strategies designed to help them achieve their functional and broader business objectives.

Prior to founding his own firm, John was Vice President, Investor Relations and Corporate Communications from 2009 to 2014 at Hudbay Minerals, a Toronto-based international mining company. He also spent six years as Executive Vice President at one of Canada’s leading investor firms, where he advised clients on various matters including ongoing investor engagement strategies, IPO communications, mergers and acquisitions, proxy contests and special situations. He has also held senior corporate communications positions with Royal Bank of Canada and Sun Life Financial Inc.

John has served as a volunteer member of the board of directors for the Ontario Chapter of the Canadian Investor Relations Institute, is a former member of the Public Affairs Committee at the Mining Association of Canada, and was a board member for the Canadian-Peruvian Chamber of Commerce.

Munkhdul 'Mogi' Badral - Media Relations

Munkhdul “Mogi” Badral, has been closely involved in the Mongolian capital market over the last 5 years, starting off as an analyst at a local investment bank before heading the Mongolian office of a top Western Australian junior resource broker.

​Mogi recently founded a Mongolia-focused market intelligence firm called Cover Mongolia, with the goal of bridging the information gap that exists between global and local markets. His firm’s Cover Mongolia NewsWire is the top source of up-to-date one-stop market news and coverage on Mongolia. Mogi is a frequent guest analyst on local and international media and publications.

Indira B. Singh - Cluster Development ​

Having worked in more than 10 countries as the Principal of the Mining Consultancy International (MCI) and as an Executive Director and Senior Director at the Ministry of Northern Development and Mines, Ontario, Canada,  Indira’s experience includes: mining law and regulations; policy tools and instruments; resource governance; capacity building; global trends and their impacts on the mineral sector; international standards and practices; stakeholder perspectives; corporate social responsibility; historical legacy issues; and equitable distribution of resource revenues.

Indira has advised governments in Canada, India, Chile, Mongolia, Kazakhstan, Colombia and the regional government of Krasnoyarsk in Russia. Indira’s work includes both developed and developing country issues, public and private sectors and first-hand experience of resource management conflicts and competing demands, having lived in northern Ontario. Indira also worked closely with, and gained an understanding of, key stakeholders and their aspirations and expectations across the mining sector.

Indira has also served on many advisory committees. She chairs the Canada India Canada Mining Committee and is one of the incorporating directors for the Global Indigenous Development Trust. Indira is and has been associated with numerous professional and trade associations. She has received awards for leadership for ingenuity and innovation and multi-stakeholder partnerships.

Indira has been interviewed and published by Kazakhstan Forbes Magazine; Indian Abroad, the (Ontario) Northern Business Report and by Mining.com. Indira has written extensively for national and international magazines, and has a book chapter on resource-based sustainable development to her credit.

​Siri C. Genik - Stakeholder Engagement Strategy, Sustainability – Partnership & cooperation agreements

​​Siri has spent over 25 years working on major capital projects around the world. She has also worked in Canada and the Arctic. During the course of her career, Siri has developed particular expertise in Strategic Planning, Risk Management, Stakeholder Engagement and Governance, with a strong focus on Corporate
Social Responsibility (CSR) and Agreement Negotiation.

Siri currently runs BRIDGE ©, providing strategic advisory services, advising her clients on Risk Management Strategies interfacing with Commercial strategies and CSR concerns. Focus is to build realistic action plans targeting sustainable results and positive benefits. Solutions are structured to make sense locally as well as fitting into a global context. BRIDGE © builds results centered on a “mediation” approach when working with stakeholders, whether indigenous and local communities, industry, labour and governments.

Siri is a Canadian and her family is from Winnipeg, Manitoba. She was born in Bogotá, Colombia, and grew up in South America, France, Algeria, Spain and the UK. In the course of her career she has worked in Egypt, Russia, Malaysia, New Caledonia, Chile, Peru, Mexico, Panama, Argentina, Australia as well as Canada, Alaska and the Arctic. She obtained her University degrees from McGill and the Université de Montréal. She is perfectly fluent in English, French and Spanish.

Richard Gosse - ​Minerals Exploration ​

Richard Gosse has over 28 years of experience in minerals exploration working for such companies as Dundee Precious Metals, BHP, Anglo American and Rio Tinto in a number of different commodities. He has extensive experience in intrusive hosted and sediment hosted deposits as well as mesothermal, epithermal and porphyry gold and copper deposits.

He has most recently served as Vice President, Exploration with Turquoise Hill Resources (formerly Ivanhoe Mines) and South Gobi Resources. He has successfully led exploration work in a variety of countries in Europe and Asia including Bulgaria, Mongolia, India, China and Indonesia. Mr. Gosse holds a Bachelor of Science in B.Sc. Geology from Queen's University and a Masters in Mineral Exploration from the Royal School of Mines in London. 

Iván Győző Somlai - Proposal Development

Ivan has focused his professional life on social development globally in numerous sectors, through collaborations with diverse partners (CIDA [GAC], IDRC, ADB, WB, Gorbachev Foundation, Habitat for Humanity as well as extractive firms, educational institutions, non-government organizations and all levels of government).

Having worked full time 18 years at universities, 15 years in Asia in various capacities and 6 years with governments, Ivan now consults privately. Specific to Mongolia, since 2006 he has consulted in education, tourism, environment, governance [including elections] and technical training coordination. These opportunities allowed his visitations to 17 aimags (some multiple times). Most recently (2018), he planned and coordinated a customized training programme for Mongolia’s Minister of Environment and his technical team.

Ivan’s strengths are: project conceptualisation, proposal development, implementation, monitoring, coordination and evaluation; multiculturalism; institutional/ organizational development; ethnobureaucratic analysis; gender mainstreaming; sensitivity to local cultures and international conventions; holistic, interdisciplinary, participatory approaches; conflict mitigation; donor and stakeholder coordination; executive leadership training [e.g. strengthened consultant-host relationships; trust; dealing with complex situations; replication process for workable community ideas; etc.]).

An erstwhile alpine guide (Rockies, Alps, Himalaya, Altai) and Olympian (1976), he continues to ski and hike as often as possible.
